Tech Startups Are Losing Who They Once Were. It’s Heartbreaking.

Apple was founded in 1976.
Google was founded in 1998
Facebook was founded in 2004.

Look at how much they have changed.

Leaving their old mission behind.

Valuing money and financials above everything else.

None of these companies care about the privacy and security of the user anymore, they care about if the user will be a potential buyer.

None of these companies were built with the intent of changing the world.

None of these companies were meant to end up being this large.

These were the same companies used to cram pack all the technology they could into one, trying to make the best product for the user.

Now?

Apple has an entire plan of all their products for the next decade and makes minimal changes in each launch to prepare for the next.

Until 2011, Apple was one of the rare big tech companies that treated its products as a startup. It would put all the features they possibly could into one launch, caring about their product like it was its life.

All of that changed when the great Steve Jobs passed away at the age of 56.

This change is happening to more startups than ever before, especially with the most amount of funding from investors at their hands.

Most companies, usually post-unicorn public companies, can afford to reduce prices by up to 50% to get more sales, even if they start going into the negative.

They care about their stock, their public image, and not what made them in the first place, their consumers, who were the ones the made them possible.

You could have the greatest idea in the world but it wouldn’t matter if there were no people to use it.

Just imagine where Big Tech companies would be if they valued their products more than anything else.

The whole landscape would change.

See for yourself. Look at a bright and cool startup today and see them in a few years.

They are still the same company on the outside. But on the inside? It’s a whole different story.
